Rhythm recall
Listen to a drum pattern and select the positions where the drum played.
How to play
This is a listening and pattern game. You choose positions in a grid; you do not have to tap in time with the drum.
- Wait through four count-in ticks. The drum pattern starts after the countdown.
- Select each numbered position that contains a drum hit. Leave the silent positions empty. Select a filled position again to remove it.
- You can build your answer during playback or afterward. In daily and practice, use Listen again or Hear my pattern to compare before choosing Check pattern.
- Review the original and your answer. A circle marks a missed hit; a cross marks an extra selection. The next round starts after a five-second review.
Try an example
Count the eight positions in the example and notice the spaces between drum hits.
An eight-position pattern has drum hits on 1, 3, 4 and 7. Which buttons should be filled?

Show example answer
Select 1, 3, 4 and 7. Leave 2, 5, 6 and 8 empty.
That exact pattern earns 100 points. Selecting only 1, 3 and 7 earns 75: three of four hits, with no extra selections. Adding a hit at position 2 would reduce that partial score to 50.
Scoring and modes
Each round is worth up to 100 points. The score counts matched hits, subtracts extra selections, then divides by the number of actual hits. It never drops below zero. A fully correct round requires every hit and rest to match.
Daily and practice have ten rounds, worth up to 1,000 points. Pattern lengths grow from four positions to eight, twelve and sixteen. Daily gives everyone the same patterns for that UTC date; practice starts a fresh set. Neither has an answer timer.
Head-to-head gives both players the same patterns and clock. You cannot pause or replay. Higher total points wins; total response time breaks tied scores. Answers reveal when both players submit or the round expires. Ranked results affect your Rhythm recall rating.
Try thisCount every position, including the quiet ones. A rest takes up the same space as a hit.
